Food Pantry

COS operates a market-style food pantry located at 19 Park Street in Kennebunk. It is conveniently open on weekdays to accommodate varying schedules. The pantry offers fresh food, non-perishable food, and household schedules.

Our appointment based system allows our neighbors to shop in person and select the food they need. If you are new, please register below. You must be registered before scheduling an appointment so COS can best serve you. 

REGISTER & APPOINTMENTS

While availability varies, we stock the following items in the COS Food Pantry.

  • Fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Meat and poultry
  • Dairy products
  • Baked goods and prepared meals
        • Non-perishable items including canned goods and dry foods
        • Coffee, juice and soft drinks
        • Condiments and sauces
        • Personal care items like soap, toothpaste etc.
        • Household items such as cleaning and paper products
        • Pet food

The items available at the COS Food Pantry come directly from individual donors, area stores and restaurants, local farms and gardens, and our partners: Good Shepherd Food Bank, Hannaford Supermarkets, and the Kennebunk Community Gardens.

Food Delivery 

We offer home delivery for neighbors who, due to mobility or health challenges, are unable to shop at the COS Food Pantry in person. All of the items that the COS Food Pantry stocks for in-person shopping are available for those in need of home delivery. Please call us if you require delivery at 1-207-985-3844.

Fuel Assistance and Essential Needs

COS partners with and supports the General Assistance offices in Kennebunk, Kennebunkport, and Arundel to provide heating oil assistance. Qualifying neighbors may receive up to three 100-gallon fills of their tank per season. COS meets a wide variety of responses to emergency needs, whether referred by town general assistance offices, churches, or police. Assistance we have provided includes:

  • Rent or security deposit assistance
  • Automotive repairs or insurance
  • Gas purchases
  • Medical equipment or medical bills
