As a community, we take seriously our duty to support our neighbors in times of need. Many of our current volunteers and donors have been on the receiving end of help in the past. If you find yourself in a situation in which you are on the receiving end of help at this time, below are ways in which the towns of Arundel, Kennebunk and Kennebunkport have partnered with Community Outreach Services (COS) to try and provide several areas of help for you.
There are two ways to access support from COS
1. CONTACT YOUR LOCAL TOWN GENERAL ASSISTANCE OFFICE
Our town GA’s can help identify potential resources to help those in need – including COS.
Town General Assistance (GA) Office Contact Info
As the weather turns colder we offer a one-time assistance to those that may need help in the area of heating fuel. For fuel assistance call your local town General Assistance office.
Specific Needs Assistance
Sometimes, even with food on the table and fuel in the tank, there are critical needs that impact staying afloat during the storm. An unpaid utility bill, a vehicle repair or a medical need, COS will do our best to help provide resources to fulfill these needs. For assistance with one of these emergency situations, please call your local town General Assistance office.
2. CONTACT COS DIRECTLY TO SHOP AT THE FOOD PANTRY
Please visit our Food Programs page to get more information regarding registering with COS and requesting an appointment at our Food Pantry at 19 Park Street in Kennebunk.
